The only reason Diego Galicia is a full-time editor today is because in high school, all of his friends were in a video class and he wanted to hang out with them.

Diego got his first official role in the creative industry as a content creator for the Mizzou Men’s Basketball team during his freshman year there and soon began doing the same for Fresh Tape Media and the NFL. He now works as a creative at Race Service, an agency focused on motorsports, which couldn’t be a better fit considering his Formula 1 obsession.

At Race Service, Diego almost seems to specialize in content surrounding Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc. Maybe that’s why he’s also trying to learn French. He recently edited a mini-doc on Leclerc competing in the Monaco Grand Prix, a race especially important to the driver because it takes place in his home country. Diego’s first video that went viral was also of Leclerc — he edited a long-form video of the Ferrari racer in the summer of 2022 that helped Diego realize the content he creates has a real and enormous impact. The experience further confirmed Diego’s desire to make everlasting content, like movies and Vimeo videos, which he believes will live beyond a mere seconds-long vertical video on TikTok.

Diego wants to emphasize to other creators that as corny as it sounds, if you truly set your mind to something you can make it happen. In addition, being a creator is not your traditional 9 to 5. Some projects/days will be long, so it’s essential to enjoy the process, however grueling.
